Use automations on the start formSubmitted

It’d be great to be able to use automations on the start form to auto-populate fields that are commonly related to each other. This might actually make most sense in the Conditionals area rather than Automations.  Ideally what I’d like to see is a way to set up this conditional/automation :When X field is filled out on the Start Form or has a specific answer > make the answer to Y field “this”.  It would save people having to fill in lots of information that usually is the same for most submissions.  As a silly example, let’s say I had a pipe that was tracking what kind of sandwiches people want. It might have questions like : what is the first topping you want? what is the second topping you want? It’d be nice to automate it so that when someone picks “Peanut Butter” as their first topping, it automatically fills in “Jelly” as the second topping (because Peanut Butter and Jelly go together a lot). If someone doesn’t actually want Jelly as the 2nd topping, they could manually change

Drag and drop checklist optionsSubmitted

The new feature to drag and drop fields on the start form and other phases is amazing! I’d love to see the same feature in the checklists.  My team uses checklists as reminders for tasks we have to do. Sometimes these tasks have to be done in a certain order. When a new step is needed, it’s time-consuming to reorder the items on the checklist (we don’t always want the new step to be at the bottom of the list). It would be great if we could drag and drop the options to reorder them.

Duplicating AutomationsReleased

Duplicating Pipes is a very handy feature. The only downside is that any automations that were configured for the original pipe have to be recreated for the duplicate pipe. If it was also possible to duplicate an automation to use as template that would save a lot of time for the person creating the automations.Obrigada!

Best Tricks You've Learned

Hello everyone! Bom dia! I’ve been using Pipefy for a year now. It’s been amazing to see the tool grow and improve, continuing to get better and better.  I’ve learned a lot over the last year and I bet you all have too in the time you’ve been using Pipefy. My question for you is: what’s something you’ve learned to do in Pipefy (a feature or trick) that you didn’t know when you first started using the tool? Something awesome that others might not be aware of. I’ll go first: I recently learned that you can sort the cards in any phase by clicking on the … of that phase in the Kanban view and choosing “Sort phase’s cards”. It’s very helpful!  What are your favourite features that others might have missed?Sarah

Auto-populate fields on start form

Hi doers. Is there a way to have fields auto-populate in a start form based on their answers to other fields? E.g. If someone Chooses “Category 1” as an answer to “What category is your request a part of?”, can several other fields in the form auto-populate with values we always associate with Category 1?  I first assumed this would need to be an automation (when a field is updated > update a field), but it doesn’t seem to be working. Then I thought maybe it would be a conditional, but the conditionals only seem to give me the option to Show or Hide fields, not to auto-populate them.  Any suggestions?

Delete PDF templatesSubmitted

In the PDF Generator it’s currently not possible to delete old templates or even the “Get Started” ones. This clutters up the list, especially if you have a lot of templates.  Being able to delete them would be great.

How to set default company

Hi folks, When I first started using Pipefy I participated in the Pipefy Certification Program. This made me a part of that “company” in Pipefy. Sometimes when I sign in, I’m taken to that company rather than my own. Is there a way to set my own company as the default so I don’t have to switch companies so often? Thanks, Sarah

HTML markup for hyperlink in public form

Hey folks, I’m trying to include a hyperlink in my start form, but can’t get the HTML to work right. I used the following HTML format for the text: <a href="https://www.w3schools.com/">Visit W3Schools.com!</a> It looks great on the build page: A hyperlink with clean text​​​​But on the public form it shows the HTML markup: A non-hyperlink showing all the HTML text Is there a way to get the markup to stay hidden on the public form? I don’t use HTML markup a lot, so maybe this isn’t even the right format for me to use.

Shared Ownership of AutomationsSubmitted

For the sake of business continuity, it would be very helpful to have automations be either directly connected to a pipe with shared membership or be able to have its own list of members.Currently, though a Pipe can have several administrators, the automations are created and controlled by a single person. If this person leaves the organization, the automations will be lost and need to be recreated. I worry about my team forgetting this step and then suddenly losing all their automations when someone leaves the company.

Request Tracking not working

On all the pipes in our organization, we’re not able to use the “request tracking” feature. Whenever we submit a card on a pipe that has that feature enabled, we get the email, but when we click on the email link we get a “the access link expired” notification. Asking for a new link just brings us back to the same error. A similar question was asked before (link below), but the answer doesn’t help me. If I go to https://app.pipefy.com/request-tracker/en-us I again just get the “the access link expired” message.

Deleting PDF template

Hi there, I’ve been using the PDF generator to create some PDF templates in my pipe. Is there a way to delete templates from the list? The Getting Started one is still there, for example, as well as other drafts we created and no longer need. All I see is the on/off toggle which just makes the template inactive. It doesn’t remove it from the list in PDF generator. Thanks, Sarah

Create new card label for Start Form vs Kanban viewSubmitted

If you change the “Create card button text” in the Start Form’s advanced options, not only does this change how that text appears in a Connected Field on the Start Form, but it also changes the text on the “create card” button of the Kanban view. My idea is to make these two separate settings.  As an example: having the Create card button text say “Create new card” makes sense on the Kanban view, but in my Start Form’s Connected Field where I’m asking users to simply connect their new card to an existing one, the words “Create new card” don’t make sense. But if I change the text in the advanced options, it will change it in both the Start Form and the Kanban view. This means I either need to think of some way to label that button so it makes sense in both scenarios or else accept the fact that one of the labels will no longer make sense.  This is in relation to this topic where I changed the text to read “Search existing cards” so that the Connected Field makes sense. Search done records on public formSubmitted

At this time it is impossible to search for “done records” in a connection field on a public form. This feature is available in the back-end of the pipe; admins can create a new card and can toggle a button to “also show done records”. It would be great if that toggle switch was available on the public form as well.  Related to the info I was given here:

Searching done cards in pipe connection

In one of our pipes we use a pipe connection field to allow users to connect their new form with one that was previously submitted. Often the one they’ve previously submitted will be in a “done” phase. When submitting the form via the public form, users cannot search cards that are in the “done” phase.Search in the public form HOWEVER, when creating a card from the pipe, admins do have the option to also search done records. Search in the pipe ‘create new card’ option; has the button to ‘also show done records’​​​​ Is this truly different? And, if so, why? Or am I missing something on the public form? Can users search done records on the public form?

Edit label for connection field

 Hi there, I’m using a connection field in one of our pipes to allow users to connect their information to an existing card. To open the dropdown list of existing cards, users have to click on “Create new card”. Is it possible to change this label? I think it’s confusing because they’re clicking on that option to search through cards and connect to an old one, not to create a new card. I can’t see anywhere to change the label on that button. The connection field in our pipe​​​​​​

Pipe connection field options are in Portuguese

I’m using a Pipe Connection Field for the first time in one of my Start Forms and I’ve noticed something odd. In the public form, the cards listed in the dropdown have the date and phase listed in Portuguese rather than English.  As far as I know, all my settings are set to English, but maybe I missed one somewhere? For clarification, this is how I’ve configured the field:

How to undo automatic formatting

In one of my company’s pipes, we have technical items in the checklists of some phase fields. We recently noticed that when we type a word with asterisks on either side of it like *this*, it automatically italicizes the word. Is there a way to undo that italics? In some cases where we’re using asterisks, it’s for a script or command that requires asterisks in it. We need to be able to see the asterisks with the rest of the text.For example, we have this command listed in one of our checklists and need to know that there are asterisks around the last three words.Because of the automatic formatting, it displays like this: Thanks in advance for any insight you may have!

Enlarge Portal FontSubmitted

The font size for headers and forms in a portal is quite small. Having it larger by default would be nice, but even better would be to have the option to change the font size ourselves based on the amount of content in any given portal or our business preferences.

Discrepancy between font size on portal edit page and portal

The font size on the edit portal page and the actual portal is not the same (example below). It’s larger on the edit page.I’m guessing this may be a bug - which is why I’m listing it here as a question - because I assume that the edit page should be showing me what I can expect to see on the real portal. Exporting Card History/Activities

Is there a way to export the history from a card - the section under Activities where it lists what was changed, by whom, and on which date? We’d like to be able to do this to keep backups of our records, but I haven’t found a way to do so.I know you can export the card data via a report, but the reports only have a little bit of the activity information from what I can see (last updated date etc.).This is somewhat related to the question asked here:

Forms that require a signature

Hi Doers!Wondering if anyone has suggestions for ways to configure a Pipefy form that requires a signature.We have certain forms that require a signature for legal reasons (our code of conduct acknowledgement form, for example). I don’t see a “signature field” as an option in Pipefy but thought some of you might have come up with ways around this.Open to any ideas you might have!

Updating Start Form After It's Submitted

Looking for some help from the community on how to handle this process in Pipefy:We have an onboarding pipe. Sometimes managers will complete the public start form before they know what the name of the new hire is or their start date i.e. they know they’re hiring a new Technician, but haven’t selected the person yet. We have questions that allow them to submit the start form without providing the name and start date of the new hire. However, we want them to be able to update us with the name and start date once those pieces of information are known. Currently, we just ask the manager to email us when they know that information and we manually update the card with that data.I’m trying to find a way for the managers to be able to submit another form - an update form - that will then connect to the original onboarding card so that the data is combined. I’m assuming I’ll need to use connections and possibly automations too, but I can’t quite figure out how to make this work. Any recommenda

Accessibility & Pipefy

Hello everyone!The company I work for (AMI) is all about accessibility, especially in media and technology.When we started working with Pipefy we did some testing and determined that the public forms aren’t the most accessible for someone using a screen-reader. This is something we’d love to see improve with this tool in the future and I’m curious if other Doers out there would have interest in that for their organizations as well.Also curious if this is something Pipefy would be interested in working on in the future. Although it’s often assumed that there aren’t that many people who would benefit from making an application more accessible, it can actually have huge benefits and appeal to a much wider audience than you’d imagine. And, from what I hear, sometimes the coding changes that can make a big difference for accessibility are easy to implement. For those interested in learning more about web accessibility, this site is a great place to start: https://www.w3.org/WAI/fundamentals

Move a card automatically when a date arrives

Hi there,I’m working on an Onboarding Process and would like cards to move to a “Done” phase after the date of their onboarding has passed. There is a field in our start form where card creators indicate what the Start Date is for the new person that’s being onboarded.Ideally, I’d like to set up an automation that would move the cards to “Done” automatically once the Start Date from the start form is reached.I found this post here in the community that seems similar to what I’m asking, but it relies on using the SLA settings on a phase. If I use the “When an alert is triggered” automation, it seems that only refers to SLA alerts. I don’t think using the SLA setting will work as a trigger for this automation I have in mind. Is there another type of alert I could configure or something else I could try?Perhaps using the “Recurring activity” automation could work? I could set it to run once a day and to move the card when the scenario is: Start Date is Today?Please let me know if you thin
