I've been playing Minecraft Bedrock for a while, and one thing I've noticed in long-term survival worlds is that certain mobs naturally become more important than others. Sometimes it's a pet that has been with you since the beginning, while other times it's a rare mob that you went through a lot of effort to find.
Because name tags can take some effort to obtain, I usually think twice before using one. A named mob can become part of the story of your world, especially when you keep it around for a long time. I've also been exploring different name tags features and discovered that they aren't only useful for identification; some names can produce interesting interactions and Easter eggs too.
How do you decide when a mob is worth naming? Do you reserve name tags for pets and rare mobs, or do you name anything that becomes part of your base? I'm also curious whether anyone has a naming system for different areas, farms, or groups of villagers.
