PDF files forced to download on Chrome Android (Inline viewing fails)

Issue: When clicking a PDF file in a Pipefy card using Chrome Beta 143 on Android 15, the browser forces a download/open dialogue instead of displaying the file directly in the tab (inline viewing). Diagnosis: Chrome's native PDF viewer is confirmed working (external PDFs open correctly). The Pipefy server is likely sending the HTTP header Content-Disposition: attachment, overriding the browser's native viewer. Request: Please remove the Content-Disposition: attachment header for PDF files to allow inline viewing on modern mobile browsers.

Hello @vendas01-atfsolucoes

I tried to reproduce this behavior on my end following your scenario, but I wasn't able to get the same result.

Because of that, to help us isolate the exact cause, could you check a few things:

  • Does this also happen when testing in Incognito mode?

  • Does the error occur in other browsers (like Firefox or the stable version of Chrome) on the same device?

  • Is this happening only with this specific card, or does it happen across other cards and pipes as well?

This will help us determine if the issue is indeed related to the server headers or a specific quirk of that browser/device version.
