When creating an E-Mail template, there are the “Language Settings” to set (a) on one hand the timezone for the date-fields, and (b) on the other hand the language, which, to my knowledge, only applies to the date format.
Please, either change “language” to a selection of date formats directly (so I can just select the date format that applies for my locale) or improve the number of languages to include many more languages. I, who is not from any of the available ones, have no idea which of the languages leads to which date format, so the current selection process is not helpful.
