🛡️ Send Emails More Securely: Mandatory Change for Microsoft SMTP

An important update has just been released to ensure greater security and continuity in email delivery via Pipefy. Microsoft has announced the end of support for basic authentication (username and password) for SMTP servers — and this change directly impacts users who rely on providers like smtp.office365.com and smtp-mail.outlook.com.

📩 What’s changing in practice?

If your company uses Microsoft’s server as the primary SMTP, you will need to update your current configuration. The new connection method is more modern and secure, and it prevents any disruption to your email delivery through the platform.

🔄 How to apply the new configuration

  1. Go to the “Email Settings” menu in Pipefy’s admin panel.

  2. Remove the current SMTP server if it's configured with smtp.office365.com or smtp-mail.outlook.com.

  3. Reconnect using the “Connect with Microsoft” button — this option uses a modern authentication method that complies with Microsoft’s new requirements.

🔐 This change is mandatory and follows Microsoft’s security standards.
🗓️ Deadline: September 2025
⚠️ After this date, servers still using the old authentication method will stop sending emails.
